Welcome to Gaya Ji



A brief introduction:
Gaya is one of the historical places in India and is situated beside the river Phalgu (Falgu). Gaya has a total area of approximately 310 kilometers.
It is one of the districts of the Southern part of Bihar. Gaya is one of the major tourist destinations and attractions when anybody talks about Bihar.

Religions:
Gaya is sanctified in the Hindu, Muslim, Jain, Buddhist religions. You can find Gaya Ji mention in the great Hindu mythologies and epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. It is believed that Lord Rama, Sita, and Lakshmana came to Gaya Ji to offer Pind Daan for the father Dasaratha and since then it has become a major Hindu pilgrimage for the Pind Daan ritual. It's also a place of moksh and salvations.

Gaya Ji got its own significance when it comes to Buddhism. It is said that Lord Buddha attained enlightenment and Bodhgaya is one of the four holy sites of Buddhism. The Mahabodhi temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site.

4. Buddhist temple

Gaya Climate:

Gaya climate has two extremes. Very cold in winters and too hot in summers and temperate during winter would range around 5-10 degrees Celcius and in summers temperature would be range around 38-46 degrees celsius.

Gaya Transport:

Gaya is well connected to the rest of India by roads, railways, and airways.
